POPIA-conscious information handling. Privacy Notice
Your practice can be clinically excellent and still lose revenue administratively.
Unpaid and short-paid claims
Payment lands lower than billed, or not at all, and the reason sits unread in a remittance.
PMB and funding complexity
A claim that should fall under Prescribed Minimum Benefits is processed against day-to-day benefits.
Administrative backlog
Claims, queries and authorisations drift because follow-up is nobody's dedicated job.
What we handle
Specialist support behind your practice.

The clinical day may end. The administration doesn’t.
Claims, PMBs, authorisations and medical scheme queries continue to require attention long after the consultation is complete.

Book an assessment
PMB administration requires the right process, documentation and follow-through.
PMBs are governed by their own rules and claims are assessed against those rules. When the coding, supporting documentation or scheme correspondence does not line up, the claim is often processed as an ordinary benefit, or declined outright.
- Reviewing whether a claim may qualify for consideration under the PMB framework
- Coordinating the administrative and supporting documentation required by the medical scheme
- Submitting PMB-related documentation and addressing administrative requirements identified during the funding process
- Tracking medical scheme correspondence, reference numbers, outcomes and required next actions
Claims & revenue protection
Money already earned should not age off the books.
Work was done. Patients were seen. The claim went out. Then it is short-paid, rejected or simply not paid, and it quietly ages until somebody writes it off. This can contribute to avoidable revenue leakage when administrative issues, outstanding queries and follow-up are not resolved.
Every query we work carries a record
- Reference
- The scheme reference the query was logged under
- Date logged
- When it was raised, so ageing is visible
- Contact
- The person or department we dealt with at the scheme
- Outcome
- What the scheme said, in writing
- Next action
- What happens next and when it is chased again
HealthAdmin manages the administrative process. Decisions on claims, authorisations and funding rest with the medical scheme, and no outcome is promised or guaranteed.
Four steps from first call to work in progress.
Simple onboarding. HealthAdmin is built to fit into the practice workflow you already run, with minimal disruption to your team.
Services are scoped according to the requirements of the practice — defined projects, backlog support, specialist PMB support, remote practice administration or ongoing monthly support. Scope and commercial terms are agreed before work starts. No commission, and no percentage of what your practice recovers.
Assess
A structured Practice Assessment identifies where claims, PMBs, authorisations, medical scheme follow-up and administrative pressure are affecting the practice.
Scope
We define what HealthAdmin will handle, what remains with the practice, the required capacity and the agreed fee — in writing.
Action
Agreed claims, PMB, authorisation and medical scheme matters are investigated, administered, tracked and followed up according to scope.
Report
Your practice receives clear reporting on progress, outstanding matters, outcomes and actions requiring practice input.
A specialist healthcare administration service.
HealthAdmin is founder-led by Yolandi du Plessis, bringing more than 20 years of healthcare administration experience to the practices it supports. It is built specifically around the administrative and revenue processes behind a medical practice.
Built around how practices run
Consulting lists, theatre days and month-end do not pause for administration. The support fits your rhythm, not the other way around.
PMBs taken seriously
Prescribed Minimum Benefits are administered against specific rules. That detail gets the attention it needs, not a generic claim workflow.
Direct specialist accountability
Every practice has a named point of contact and defined accountability for the work. Founder-led, with more than 20 years of healthcare administration behind it.
Follow-up that keeps going
Unresolved revenue can disappear into silence when queries are not systematically tracked, followed up or escalated. Each one is worked until there is an answer on record.
Capacity when you need it, without growing the payroll.
Not every practice needs another full-time administrator. Many practices need additional capacity from someone who understands medical schemes, claims and PMBs — without adding another permanent position to the practice.
- Defined monthly capacity
- Support structured around the agreed workload, responsibilities and service scope of your practice.
- No extra desk
- Remote delivery means no additional workstation or office space is required within your practice.
- Written reporting
- See what has been submitted, what has progressed, what remains outstanding and what requires input from your practice.
- All nine provinces
- Remote support for practices anywhere in South Africa.

Fees
A clear investment. A defined scope.
Ongoing HealthAdmin practice support starts from R7,500 per month. Individual matters and defined projects are also available and quoted separately.
Before you pick up the phone.
The questions practices ask first. If yours is not here, ask it on the call.
Do we have to change our billing software?
No. HealthAdmin works with the information your practice already produces, in the systems you already use.
Will you need our patients' medical records?
Never through this website. Where clinical documentation is genuinely required for a PMB claim or a motivation, it is requested directly from your practice under an agreed written mandate, and handled accordingly.
How is our practice information protected?
HealthAdmin has an Information Officer registered with the Information Regulator of South Africa, registration number 2026-064282. There is defined responsibility for the information entrusted to the business. Our Privacy Notice explains what information is collected, why it is used and how it is handled.
Do you take a percentage of what is recovered?
No. HealthAdmin charges an agreed professional fee and does not take a commission or percentage of recovered practice revenue. Ongoing support is provided within an agreed monthly scope and capacity. Individual matters and defined projects are quoted separately.
Are you a medical scheme, a broker or a debt collector?
None of those. HealthAdmin is an independent administrative service to healthcare providers. It does not provide medical, legal or financial advice, and it does not decide claims.
Can you promise our claim will be paid?
No, and be careful of anyone who does. Claims, authorisations and funding are decided by the medical scheme on the facts of each case. What HealthAdmin controls is that the administration is correct, submitted, and followed up until there is an answer on record.
Where is your practice losing time or revenue?
Tell us where the administrative pressure sits. PMBs, claims, authorisations, scheme queries, or a backlog nobody has time to work.
Please do not submit patient medical information through this website.
