HealthAdmin is built around one thing: the administrative and revenue processes behind a South African medical practice. It exists because that work is specialised, unglamorous, and almost always the first thing a busy practice has to let slide.

HealthAdmin is founder-led by Yolandi du Plessis, bringing more than 20 years of healthcare administration experience to the practices it supports. That experience is the point: the work rewards someone who knows the history of a query and can pick it up where they left it, which is difficult in a business built on handovers.
Every practice has a clear point of contact and defined accountability for the work entrusted to HealthAdmin, and the service operates remotely for practices throughout South Africa.
She is also the appointed Information Officer for HealthAdmin, registered with the Information Regulator of South Africa. The person handling your practice’s information is the same person accountable for how it is protected.

How HealthAdmin works
Founder-led and accountable
Every practice has a clear point of contact and defined accountability for the work entrusted to HealthAdmin. Nobody is passed along a queue.
Say what is actually true
No promises about outcomes that belong to a medical scheme. Where something cannot be guaranteed, it is not implied.
Follow-up is the job
Unresolved revenue can disappear into silence when queries are not systematically tracked, followed up or escalated. Each one is worked until there is an answer on record.
What HealthAdmin is not
HealthAdmin is an administrative service provider to healthcare providers. It is not a medical scheme, a broker, a healthcare provider or a debt collector, and it does not provide medical, legal or financial advice.
Decisions on claims, authorisations and funding are made by the relevant medical scheme or its administrator, applying the Regulations and the scheme’s own registered rules to the facts of each case. No particular outcome is promised or guaranteed by HealthAdmin.
HealthAdmin also does not act for medical scheme members. If you are a member looking for help with your own claim, your scheme, your broker or the Council for Medical Schemes are the right places to start.
